Accommodations

Accommodations are academic adjustments or auxiliary aids that provide equal access to programs and services. A few examples are print and audio materials in alternate formats, extended time or taking an exam in a minimal distraction area, recording a lecture or having a note-taker and assistive technology to read and navigate a computer.

Determination of Accommodations

Accommodations are determined based on review of submitted documentation from the health care provider for its appropriateness and completeness under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and as amended in 2008 (ADAAA), and the Office of Student Disability Resource Center documentation policy.
